This mug was thrown in speckled buff clay. It features pink glaze and hand stenciled white hearts with a gold overglaze. Please note, the hand painted gold requires special care to maintain its stunning shine (this overglaze has real gold!). This mug holds 13oz. See below for maintenance tips!
Special instructions for items with Gold Luster: Care must be taken to avoid hard scrubbing when washing gold ware, because of the possibility of scraping off the thin layer of metal or luster. Treat your overglazed pieces as you would fine china. Although overglazed ware will take repeated washings in a dishwasher, the overglaze will eventually wear away. Ware decorated with gold overglazes should not be used in the microwave ovens!
